Forbo Installation Training

The flooring industry is continually changing. In order to remain successful, those working in the industry must also change. Education is the key to this change. Through various levels of training, Forbo is dedicated to offering resilient flooring installers the most comprehensive and professional installation courses in the industry today.

Associate and Master Mechanic Training Programs are offered at Forbo’s North American Headquarters in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. This training facility has been specially designed, intended to prepare installers for installing in the real world. Installers need to be pre-approved and invited to attend these trainings through an Assessment Clinic.

Assessment Clinic

An Assessment Clinic is a locally-based hands-on clinic, aimed at engaging installers who wish to achieve certification as a Forbo Factory Certified Mechanic. Each Assessment Clinic will have a minimum of 8 installers, and a maximum of 12, lasting approximately 4 hours. The basics of Marmoleum sheet and tile are covered, as well as basic installation practices, such as adhesive application and use, underscribing, cutting seams and proper rolling of the flooring material. Installers who successfully complete the Assessment Clinic and demonstrate the necessary skills will receive an invitation to attend the Forbo Associate Mechanic Course.
